Khawaja Asif Mocks Ed Miliband

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar convened a meeting with Ed Miliband, the UK Foreign Secretary, in Istanbul. During the official gathering, Miliband was photographed sitting with one leg crossed over the other, revealing the sole of his shoe to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif took to social media to criticize Miliband's body language, stating that etiquette requires shoes to remain unseen in such formal settings.

The Defence Minister's scathing post garnered significant attention on X, the platform. Asif's blunt remarks are not uncommon, as he has previously targeted foreign leaders in his social media comments. Some online users argued that if a Pakistani official had sat in the same manner, their body language would have been heavily scrutinized.

Asif also remarked that the British seem to receive leniency for the same behavior. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the participating nations and discuss regional and international issues.
