Gachagua Assures Narok Women Rep Aspirant of Free and Fair DCP Primaries

NAIROBI, Kenya (Oct 24) – The Democratic for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has assured Tayiana Christine Koshal, the Narok County Women Representative aspirant, that the party will hold free and fair primaries for the upcoming August 10, 2027 General Election. Speaking to Koshal at the party's headquarters, Gachagua emphasized the DCP's dedication to democratic principles and commitment to providing a fair platform for aspirants.

He expressed the party's keenness on listening to the aspirations of Kenyans and ensuring the well-being of the people.

The former Deputy President also encouraged Koshal to enhance her grassroots engagement and familiarize herself with the needs and priorities of residents in Narok County. Gachagua's assurance signals the DCP's efforts to attract and engage candidates ahead of the 2027 General Election. Koshal is seeking the DCP ticket for the Narok County Women Representative seat, which will be contested alongside other parliamentary and county-level positions during the election.

Although Gachagua did not provide details on the discussions or whether other aspirants have sought the party's ticket for the same position, he reaffirmed the party's message using its slogan, "The future is Green" as the election approaches.
