Four Arrested During Labour Inspections in Alhama de Murcia

Four individuals were arrested during a joint police operation conducted in Alhama de Murcia, Spain, according to authorities. The operation, which involved the Guardia Civil, National Police, Local Police, and the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, targeted 11 leisure and food businesses. The aim of the inspection was to prevent potential criminal activity and ensure compliance with immigration rules.

Officers identified a total of 80 people during the checks. One person was apprehended under an outstanding judicial search-and-arrest warrant, while the remaining three were detained for being present in Spain without valid immigration status. The authorities opened administrative deportation proceedings against these three individuals.

During the inspections, officers recorded 13 alleged breaches of the Public Safety Law and 10 immigration-related offenses. Additionally, drug use was detected within two premises, while smoking was found to be allowed indoors in two other businesses. Labour inspectors also documented breaches at the businesses during the operation.

This joint operation is part of ongoing cooperation between state security forces and local police to detect criminal activity and administrative offenses.
