Edifier Hecate G2000 Pro Review: Clear and Colorful
The Edifier Hecate G2000 Pro speakers offer a uniquely designed RGB experience, all within a set of above-average 2.0 Stereo PC gaming speakers. They deliver an audio experience far surpassing their looks and size.
Edifier’s Hecate G2000 Pro speakers are a unique and visually striking pair of desktop PC speakers that offer both good sound quality and a modern design. The speakers feature a squished and elongated hexagonal shape with a clear, see-through enclosure and bright RGB lighting. They are designed to angle the sound towards your ears, thanks to a 10° tilted angle built into the speaker shape.
The right speaker houses all the technology, with controls on the top, power and connectivity options on the rear, and a hardwired 1.5-meter braided cord connecting the two speakers. The speakers are built to last, with large rubber feet at the bottom to prevent vibrations and slipping. They produce clear and colorful sound, with good positional audio cues for gaming, and an impressive bass rumble for a small 2.0 speaker setup.
While the lack of a dedicated subwoofer means the bass isn't as impactful, the overall sound is still impressive for a pair of small mid-range desktop speakers. The speakers offer a variety of connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, USB-A, and a 3.5mm wired input. They also feature RGB lighting that can be controlled via the Hecate Xear Audio Center software.
