Beier late show sends Dortmund to top of Bundesliga
Maximilian Beier scored in the 80th minute to secure Borussia Dortmund's hard-fought 1-0 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Maximilian Beier's late goal secured a 1-0 victory for Borussia Dortmund over Eintracht Frankfurt, propelling the team to the top of the Bundesliga table on Saturday. Substituted in the 80th minute, Beier capitalized on a pass from fellow substitute Jobe Bellingham to score the decisive goal. This win marked Dortmund's first league triumph since mid-September and extended their lead at the top of the standings to three points.
Bayern Munich can reclaim the top position with a win at Freiburg on Sunday, but the team will be without their coach Vincent Kompany, who is currently hospitalized for a mystery virus after collapsing during training on Friday.
