Ayodhya Deepotsav 2026: 3.3 Million Diyas, Floral Decorations And 792 Sanitation Workers Planned

Ayodhya is gearing up for a spectacular Deepotsav 2026 on November 7, 2026. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is spearheading preparations to recreate the splendor of the Treta Yuga. The Municipal Corporation is focused on creating an environment that is clean, beautiful, safe and convenient for the millions of devotees and tourists expected during the festival.

Decorative lighting will be installed along major routes, with special attention given to underpasses and sensitive locations. Buildings, poles and trees along Ram Path will be adorned with strip lighting and flowers. Civic amenities such as public toilets, water coolers and water kiosks will be expanded across the city. In preparation for the 3.3 million earthen lamps to be lit, around 792 sanitation workers will be deployed to collect the lamps post-event and maintain cleanliness.

Modern equipment will aid in the cleaning process to ensure the ghats remain pristine. Efforts are being made to promote cleanliness and discourage the use of polythene through various campaigns. The city is committed to making Deepotsav 2026 a historic and memorable event for all devotees.
