Arteta hails mentality as Arsenal go level with Man City
The Arsenal boss says Brazil international Gabriel Magalhaes is a 'clear example' of the team's strong mentality after the defender stayed on and scored following an injury scare.
Mikel Arteta commended his Arsenal players for their strong mentality following a challenging sequence of matches. The midfielder highlighted centrebacks Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes, both of whom netted goals, praising Gabriel's determination after an injury scare. The Arsenal side drew a 2-2 away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League midweek.
Arteta praised Konsa's ability to adapt quickly to the high-pressure environment at Arsenal, noting that the young player's chemistry with defender Gabriel has strengthened the team. Both Arsenal and Manchester City are now tied at the top of the Premier League with 21 points, but City's superior goal difference remains.
