68 warga asing ditahan dalam serbuan pusat hiburan Nur Alif Hazmi

68 foreign nationals have been detained during a raid at the Nur Alif Hazmi entertainment center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, early this morning. The Immigration Department (JIM) apprehended a total of 68 individuals, comprising 54 Thai nationals, including seven males and 47 females, and 14 male Bangladeshis aged between 20 to 55 years.

Senior Immigration officer in Kuala Lumpur, Hamsha Injau, informed that the detainees were also found with currency notes ranging from RM1,000 to RM3,000, in addition to RM100 and RM500. The currency notes are believed to indicate payment for female services, though the activities within the premises are still under investigation.

"Notable mistakes include misusing invitations and violating work permit conditions, such as working at the entertainment center with a work permit issued for different employment," Injau stated during a media briefing after the operation. He added that the inquiry will continue for two to three months following public complaints and other agencies' reports.

The operation began around 12:30 am, involving 53 immigration officers and nine personnel from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN). A total of 113 individuals were examined, and five forms of summons were issued to the witnesses. All detainees were taken to the Immigration Detention Center in Bukit Jalil for further investigation, and actions will be taken in accordance with Section 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963.
