2027: APC supporters slept at Kaduna venue, streets ahead Tinubu campaign flag-off

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered at the Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State for the flag-off of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign. According to Punch Nigeria, crowds began arriving as early as 7 a.m., with major roads leading to the stadium barricaded. Supporters wore clothing featuring images of President Tinubu and party logos while chanting slogans in English and Hausa.

Premium Times reported that eager supporters arrived late Friday to secure seats, and by 6 a.m. on Saturday, crowds were attempting to gain entry amid a carnival-like atmosphere outside the arena.

The event, which signals the start of the APC's 2027 campaign, was expected to include party leaders, supporters, and 31 governors. Meanwhile, the APC Presidential Campaign Council issued a statement via spokesperson Dele Alake alleging that African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Atiku Abubakar planned to discredit the rally.

Daily Post Nigeria reported that the council accused Abubakar and the ADC of plotting to use fake news, deepfake videos, and counterfeit documents to misinform the public and target President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani, and other APC leaders.
