Tiger Shroff targeted for praising Salman Khan in 2022, shooter tells police

The incident of Tiger Shroff being shot at in Juhu brought Mumbai Police into a battle of wits with the armed attackers who fled the scene on a motorcycle. The police found themselves at a disadvantage, constantly under the influence of news channels that broadcasted updates on the investigation progress. According to sources, one of the shooters received a direct message stating, "Tumhare chehre aa gaye hain, nikal jao waha se" (your faces are out, get out of there) as footage of the shooting was flashed on television.

This prompted the arrest of two out of the three accused. Although the person responsible for providing TV news updates to the shooters remains unknown, investigators believe it could have been Anil Pandit, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, or Ankit Khatak and Sameer Khatri, arrested recently in connection with the matter. Once caught, the shooters were found to be constantly on the phone, using an app like Signal or Zangi for communication.

These apps, known for their use of VoIP, make it difficult for police to trace their calls. The police discovered that the accused were being updated on the investigation's status, prompting them to change their transportation methods in response. Acting on instructions from the Mumbai Police, the Kota police intercepted the accused on a train, leading to their eventual capture.
