Rosalía was bestowed the prestigious Billboard Hall of Fame Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards held on Thursday (Oct. 22). The honor was presented to her by Dominican luminary Juan Luis Guerra. In her acceptance speech, Rosalía expressed her gratitude, stating, “Juan Luis, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this enormous, incredible honor. Your songs have made me cry, made me dance, and made me feel alive. I am in shock; I will never forget this moment.”
Rosalía acknowledged the artists who paved the way for her, including Juan Luis Guerra, Celia Cruz, Rocío, Vicente Fernandez, and Daddy Yankee. She also thanked Latin America for its support and inspiration over the years, hoping to reciprocate the affection and generosity shown to her. Rosalía later won Top Latin Pop Album of the Year for her album LUX. She concluded her remarks with gratitude to her family, team, and fans, expressing her pride in making music in Spanish and her excitement to be part of the celebration of Latin music.
