Republicans: "They want to mutilate your children" - Trump now relying on fear
More and more moderate Republicans are turning away from the US President. He doesn't even try to win them back - instead, he's betting big on his MAGA supporters. A risky maneuver.
US President Donald Trump is campaigning for the midterm elections on November 3, trying to boost his party's chances of retaining control of Congress. At a rally in Kansas, he warned that if Democrats gain power, they will bring chaos and destruction to America, citing France as an example. However, his approval ratings have dropped to a new low of 31%, and his party is increasingly divided over his policies, including his approach to Russia and Ukraine.
Some Republican lawmakers, including Senators Ted Cruz and Thom Tillis, have publicly criticized Trump's stance on Russia, and there are growing doubts about the effectiveness of his campaign strategy.
