PSL 2027 auction: Date, venue and details of auction for 12th Pakistan Super League season
PSL 2027 auction details: Check the expected January dates in China, the retention deadline, and updates for the 12th season of the Pakistan Super League.
The 12th season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to commence between March 18 and May 2, 2027. The PSL 2027 auction, which precedes the commencement of the season, is reportedly scheduled for January 23, 2027. This marks a potential departure from tradition, as the auction could be held outside of Pakistan for the first time in history.
One franchise owner has proposed hosting the auction in China, citing the desire to increase the league's global popularity. While the venue has not been officially confirmed, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opened the direct signing window for the franchises on October 23, 2026, allowing them to sign one direct marquee player until November 23, 2026, provided the player did not participate in PSL 10 and 11. The auction will be a crucial event in determining the team compositions for the upcoming season.
