Prime Video sees Netflix's New Stanford Prison Experiment, raises it a Fallout Shelter: The Experiment
Reality TV torture has a new name. Prime Video is following MrBeast's lead with a new video game-inspired, trap-contestants-in-a-bunker competition: Fallout Shelter: The Experiment.
Netflix's Squid Game: The Challenge and Prime Video's Beast Games have captured the public's attention, but Prime Video is now pitching its own reality competition show, Fallout Shelter: The Experiment. Like its predecessors, the new series taps into the popularity of the Fallout video game franchise and challenges participants to endure grueling conditions for the chance to win a substantial cash prize.
Fallout Shelter: The Experiment takes place within Vault-Tec's secure fallout shelters, where contestants must navigate "high-octane drills, psychological dilemmas and morally challenging behavior trials" to emerge victorious. Though the series shares similarities with its competitors, it boasts the added protection of Vault Boy's legal team. The show's first 10-episode season premieres on January 13, with three episodes released weekly through January 27, 2027.
