Police arrest butcher over colleague’s death in Ogun

Police in Bauchi State have arrested 40-year-old Sallau Inuwa, also known as Liman Katagum, for allegedly stabbing his colleague to death. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on a Thursday at a car wash in the Bauchi metropolis. The altercation reportedly began when Inuwa disagreed with 45-year-old Ibrahim over the amount charged per vehicle washed.

The Bauchi State Police Command stated that the argument turned violent when Inuwa allegedly stabbed Ibrahim several times with a knife. Ibrahim was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead, according to Daily Post Nigeria. Punch reports that the killing followed an argument regarding car wash prices.

Following the incident, police operatives from the A Division searched for the suspect, who reportedly fled to his paternal home in Liman Katagum. He was eventually arrested at Mararraban Liman Katagum. Daily Post Nigeria reports that Inuwa is currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Bauchi, pending investigation and prosecution.
