PM Modi says UN’s limitations ‘clearly visible’ amid changing world order
On Thursday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the NDTV World Summit and labeled the current global environment as a "world between orders." He highlighted the limitations of the United Nations and other global institutions, emphasizing the increasing visibility of these constraints in the face of complex challenges.
Modi called for stronger institutions, a greater voice for the Global South, and robust international cooperation, stressing that global decision-making must adapt to evolving realities. He described the changing world order, stating, "We have to understand two things: First, why is the world's order changing, and why is the old global order unable to provide solutions to today's challenges? And second, what is India's role in this changing world?"
