NBA Scout Predicts Massive 76ers, Joel Embiid Issue: 'He's Going to Get Pissed'
One NBA scout predicted that Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is "going to get pissed" which is "going to be a problem."
In the first few games of the 2026-27 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers have started off on a promising note. Joel Embiid, LeBron James, and their team faced off against the reigning NBA champions, the New York Knicks, and won a road game. Later, the Sixers pulled off an incredible comeback at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Supplied with a roster boasting former Boston Celtics legend Jaylen Brown, two-time All-Star Tyrese Maxey, and second-year guard VJ Edgecombe, many are curious about the team's future success. However, an anonymous NBA scout speaking to ESPN's Tim MacMahon raised concerns about the team's potential struggles, especially with Embiid.
The scout warned that Embiid's increased ball-handling tendencies might lead him to become irritated, stop playing defense, and abandon running. Despite Embiid missing the first game due to injury, he has played well in his subsequent appearances, scoring 24 points in the game against the Cavaliers. The 76ers may prove to be one of, if not the most, intriguing teams to watch during the upcoming winter in the NBA regular season.
