Seth Kwame Dzokoto, a renowned actor and broadcaster, passed away suddenly while on-air during a live discussion on Owass FM in Tarkwa on October 22, 2026. Authorities rushed him to a hospital following the incident, but he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival. Dzokoto gained fame through his role as Judge Koboo in the popular television show Efiewura, which showcased his comedic prowess and endeared him to Ghanaian viewers.
Apart from acting and radio, he dabbled in politics, running for the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary seat under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 elections. Rumors of his demise had surfaced earlier in September 2026, but he promptly debunked them, disclosing his struggle with high blood pressure, diabetes, and recent surgery abroad funded by businessman Ibrahim Mahama.
The loss of Dzokoto represents a significant void in Ghana's entertainment and media landscape, leaving behind a cherished personality who left an indelible mark on the nation's cultural sphere.
