KPop Demon Hunters Is Getting Yet Another Immersive Gaming Experience in Early 2027

Immersive Gamebox and Netflix are teaming up to bring an interactive gaming experience based on the animated streaming hit KPop Demon Hunters to select U.S. locations starting in January 2027. Players will engage in 3D motion tracking, projection mapping, touch-sensitive walls, and spatial audio, moving and reacting together through a series of minigames.

Before gameplay, participants can create their own 'Superfan' avatar and embark on a quest to protect the Honmoon alongside familiar characters and locations from the movie. The experience caters to two to six players, with an estimated run time of 60 minutes. Tickets go on sale in December, and early access can be secured through a Priority Waitlist.

Immersive Gamebox, which launched in London and opened its first U.S. location in 2020, has hosted over 29 experiences at 35 venues. CEO Lisa Paton expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the importance of music, movement, and fan energy in bringing the story to life. Netflix will also host its own KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience at two Netflix House locations in November, featuring 3D technology, live actors, and themed food and drinks.

The sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is expected to release no earlier than 2029, although Netflix has promised a full theatrical release for KPop Demon Hunters 2.
