Kansas State Basketball: Matt Gilhool Profile
Matt Gilhool is a 6’11”, sweet-shooting lefty with a diverse skill set on offense. He’s ready to make his college basketball debut after overcoming a health scare.
Matt Gilhool, a 6'11" forward/center from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, is considered one of the top 100 recruits in the 2025 class and a 4-star prospect across major evaluation sites. As a high school senior, Gilhool averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, earning him a consensus 4-star ranking and three Pennsylvania All-State team selections.
However, he faced a significant health scare during his senior year and underwent multiple medical procedures, leading to a redshirt season at LSU in 2024. Now healthy and ready to showcase his skills, Gilhool's shooting ability and size make him an exciting prospect for the Kansas State basketball program.
