Igboho warns against plot to dethrone Olubadan

Yoruba nationalist Sunday Igboho has issued a warning that unrest may erupt in Oyo State if attempts are made to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. This warning emerged after allegations surfaced of a plot to dethrone the monarch. Igboho stressed that any governor attempting to remove Ladoja would face resistance and warned that the monarch's position should not be threatened.

He questioned the rationale behind such an action, emphasizing that the Olubadan was an indigenous Oyo citizen who deserved respect. Igboho also denied rumors of plans to ambush the monarch, asserting that no one would dare take such an action against him. He advised against any attempts to intimidate the monarch, stating that they would face consequences and the situation should remain just a rumor.
