Goodbye Oxygen OS, hello Color OS: OnePlus 15 is now getting stable Android 17
OnePlus is rolling out the milestone update for the OnePlus 15 and Pad 4 earlier than its own schedule.
OnePlus has initiated the distribution of the stable Android 17-based Color OS 17 update for its flagship OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4 devices, ahead of the anticipated October 29 release date. This update introduces refined animations, expanded quick-settings panels, expanded customization options, updated privacy features, and optimized background processes for enhanced battery performance.
The rollout is occurring gradually, beginning with participants in the open beta. OnePlus has initiated the stable Android 17-based Color OS 17 distribution for the OnePlus 15, surpassing its originally planned schedule. The company had previously announced the rollout for October 29, but internal announcements and user reports indicate that stable builds are already reaching retail units following a short OnePlus 15 Color OS 17 Open Beta period.
This early, unanticipated push aligns with the Color OS 17 rollout timeline for OnePlus and realme, marking the first official transition from Oxygen OS to Color OS.
