Bruno Fernandes’ home burgled while in Italy for Como match

Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes' residence in Cheshire, England, was burgled while he was in Italy with his club for a match against Como, according to the BBC. The intruders broke into the home on the evening of Wednesday, October 21, while Fernandes was away for the game. His family was not present at the time of the incident.

Cheshire Police responded to the report of suspicious activity, noting that the suspects had only been inside for less than five minutes before the police arrived. Detective Inspector David Jarvis stated that the investigation was in its early stages and that the force was committed to identifying those responsible. Manchester United issued a statement expressing their support for Fernandes following the incident.

This burglary adds to a pattern of similar incidents involving footballers' homes being targeted while they are away with their teams. Notable victims include Manchester City midfielder Ruben Dias, whose home was burgled while he was away for a Champions League match in January, as well as Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez, whose homes have also been burgled in the same area. Manchester United lost the match against Como with a score of 4-1.
