BLACKPINK's Lisa drops 1st solo EP 'Press Play'

BLACKPINK member Lisa has returned to the music world with her debut solo EP, Press Play. The release comes after a year and eight months since her last solo work, the Alter Ego album from February of the previous year. Comprised of six tracks, including the lead single "Tarantino," the EP marks Lisa's first foray into solo music as part of the K-pop group. The opening track is supported by four other songs: "Sawadika," "V12," "Cobra," "Cut U Off," and "Sweat."

"Sawadika," the EP's first single, premiered nine months prior and made history by debuting at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. It broke a record as Lisa's highest-charting single to date. The comeback follows Lisa's impressive win at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she took home the Best Pop award for the song "Dream," another track from her Alter Ego album. This victory made Lisa the first Asian solo artist to claim the prestigious accolade.
