2027 Winter Series calendar: Three series across five circuits

The Motorsport photo company Gedlich Racing has unveiled the schedule for the 2027 Winter Series, a series of racing events spanning three different categories across five circuits in Spain and Portugal. The events are scheduled from January to March 2027, with the GT Winter Series, GT4 Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series taking place on six dates at the five locations.

A notable event in the calendar is the 6 Hours of Portimao, which is set to occur at the beginning of February and will be held independently of the other championship championships. This endurance race will challenge teams with a six-hour duration, testing their speed, consistency, technical reliability, pit stops, and race strategy.

The GT Winter Series is designed for both professional and amateur drivers and teams with varying levels of experience. The GT4 Winter Series, on the other hand, follows an official SRO licence and provides a platform for GT4-category cars. Both series aim to offer competitive racing and preparation for the upcoming season. The Formula Winter Series targets Formula 4 drivers, giving them the opportunity to compete internationally and qualify for the Masters Race via heats. A separate Contenders Race will also be held for additional drivers to vie for podium positions.

The winter series will be hosted at five circuits: Portimao, Estoril, Jerez, Barcelona, and Valencia. These locations will host the GT Winter Series, GT4 Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series events. Test sessions will be conducted during these weekends, allowing teams to work on their car setups, integrate new drivers, and prepare for upcoming races.
