Victor Wembanyama's plan for rebound from dud against Thunder? Keep it simple
Wemby suffered through a 1-of-13 shooting performance in the loss against the Thunder. He's looking for better results against the Rockets.
Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, who had a dismal opening night performance against the Thunder, is now looking to bounce back against the Houston Rockets. Wembanyama, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, struggled with his shooting and made only 1 of 13 attempts in the 116-104 loss. Despite his poor shooting, Wembanyama had a strong defensive game, blocking six shots and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Wembanyama has expressed that he needs to trust his instincts and be himself on the court in order to improve. The Spurs and Rockets both have players who can create challenges for him, but Wembanyama remains confident that he will find his way back to form.
