Donald Trump, speaking through his social media platform Truth Social, has once again criticized NBA star LeBron James for allegedly disrespecting the National Anthem. Trump took to the platform on Thursday to voice his displeasure, sharing a video of James appearing to stretch and prepare for the anthem rather than standing at attention.
"While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country!" Trump declared, adding that James is "a TOTAL DISGRACE." The president reiterated his previous remarks, stating that James should apologize to the "Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag." This is not the first time Trump has taken aim at James this year; in July, James announced his move from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Philadelphia 76ers, prompting Trump to comment on the potential impact of the switch and question James' possible racism.
Trump suggested that James might not like him, implying that Jordan, a mutual friend of Trump's, might be a better choice.
