The World Series that nobody anticipated is the one baseball truly deserves. Five Major League Baseball teams have never experienced the thrill of winning a Fall Classic, and two of them are set to face off in this year's tournament. The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays, both undervalued and overlooked franchises, have earned the privilege of playing in the cold at the end of the year.
With 85 combined years of winless seasons at stake, the pressure is immense. The Brewers, who finished with the most wins of any team in 2026, have clinched the postseason for the eighth time in nine years. The Rays, on the other hand, returned home after a fourth-place finish last year and ignited their season, ending with 98 wins.
As the two teams prepare to battle it out for baseball supremacy, all eyes are on who will ultimately hang a banner in the 122nd World Series.
