During a Women's Under-19 T20 Trophy Elite quarter-final cricket match between Karnataka and Vidarbha at Nagpur's VCA Stadium on October 22, an unexpected incident occurred. A monkey ran onto the field, startling Vidarbha fielder Uma Kashvi as she moved backwards near the boundary. The young cricketer lost her balance and fell onto the grass as the monkey dashed past her.
Fortunately, the monkey did not appear to harm Kashvi, and after a brief scare, she got back on her feet, allowing play to resume. Karnataka won the match by six runs, with Karnataka scoring 140/7 in their 20 overs and Vidarbha finishing at 134/7.
