Mass Effect: Universe Trailer Leaks, Revealing BioWare’s Final Game
A short clip teases what is essentially Mass Effect 5 with a new cast of characters, new powers, shooting gameplay, and even romance scenes
A leaked trailer for an internal Mass Effect 5 project has surfaced online, revealing details about the game's content and reception. The trailer, discovered on Reddit, showcases in-engine footage labeled as pre-production assets. Titled "Mass Effect: Universe," the trailer features familiar elements such as weapons, powers, and alien species from previous Mass Effect games.
It also includes a sex scene, a Mass Effect relay, space travel, and a nightclub scene. The trailer portrays the player character as a former military operative engaged in a new line of work: preventing fires before they start. An older character, Liara T'Soni, assists the player in a bar fight. BioWare developers expressed pride in the game's potential, describing it as "something special" with unprecedented autonomy and player choice.
However, the game's cancellation has left many disappointed, particularly given the studio's reputation for innovative and successful titles.
