Lindsay Announces Agreement to Acquire Setorial Irrigação, Expanding Global Irrigation Portfolio

Corporate giant Lindsay Corporation has announced its intent to purchase Setorial Irrigação, a Brazilian company specializing in hose reel irrigation systems. The deal, pending customary closing conditions, is anticipated to be finalized within the next several months. The price of the acquisition has not been disclosed. Setorial, based in Limeira, São Paulo, has been producing hose reels, sprinklers, motor pumps, and other water conveyance and effluent application equipment in Brazil for roughly three decades.

The company’s range of hose reels caters to farm sizes from about 25 acres to nearly 200 acres per unit, serving customers such as sugar and ethanol mills, small growers, fruit and vegetable producers, cooperatives, and family farms. Randy Wood, Lindsay Corporation’s President and CEO, commented, "Hose reels are a natural complement to our Zimmatic center pivots.

Together, we will be able to serve our customers more completely in this key market, from large sugar and ethanol mills to small family farms." Upon completion of the acquisition, Setorial will continue its operations under its current brand, led by founder and CEO Diomedes Pellegrini Tamani. Lindsay Corporation already provides hose reel equipment under its Perrot line, manufactured in France.

This acquisition introduces products specifically designed for Brazilian crops, soil, and terrain conditions. Lindsay Corporation has been active in Brazil since 2002, offering and distributing irrigation and infrastructure equipment and technology across the globe.
