Leaker reveals larger iPhone Duo details, possible Telephoto camera

During an episode of Mark Gurman's Power On podcast, the leakster provided new details on upcoming iPhone Duo models, including potential larger screen sizes and a Telephoto camera. The iPhone Duo, which has not yet been released, has been the subject of much speculation regarding its features. Gurman shared that Apple is currently testing iPhone Duo 2 models with Face ID under the outer display and is looking into ways to incorporate an Action button.

While discussing a potential third-generation model set for release in 2028, Gurman offered some specifics about the larger screen version of the Duo. He stated that the increase in screen size would be minimal, roughly half an inch larger on the inside screen. This would not result in a significantly larger outer screen, likely not reaching an 8.5-inch or 9-inch size.

Instead, Gurman compared the proposed change to the gradual increase in size of Apple's Pro line of phones, from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max. When asked about the possibility of adding a Telephoto camera to a future iPhone Duo, Gurman mentioned that it is on Apple's list, but admitted that it would be challenging to implement due to the physics involved.
