Honor Unveils World’s First Tablet With Built-In Cooling Fan

Honor has introduced its inaugural Win-branded tablet in China, alongside the Win2 smartphone range. This gaming-oriented device comes with a 240Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and an innovative built-in cooling fan, marking the first instance of such a feature in a tablet. Design-wise, the Honor Win tablet boasts an 8.4-inch OLED screen with 1440 x 2304 pixels resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Despite its substantial battery and dedicated cooling components, the tablet maintains a slim profile of 6.1mm and weighs 315 grams. It is available in Black and Silver color variants.

Under the hood, the Win tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and runs on MagicOS 11, which is based on Android 17. Honor claims this tablet as the first to incorporate a built-in cooling fan, which operates at speeds of up to 15,000rpm to regulate temperatures during intensive tasks. In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The tablet is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging. In the Chinese market, the base model featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at around $628, while the higher-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is available for approximately $777. As of now, there is no confirmation regarding the availability of the Win tablet in international markets.
