Grab Apple's MacBook Air M5 for $149 off with 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM
Fanless design with 16GB RAM and all-day battery life
Grab Apple's MacBook Air M5 for a $149 discount, bringing the price down to $1,150. This 13-inch model now packs Apple's new M5 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU and 8-core GPU. Apple claims this chip provides up to 4x faster AI performance compared to the previous M4 MacBook Air. The 512GB SSD in this model is said to be twice as fast in read/write speeds compared to the M4 version, leading to quicker app launches and file transfers.
A standard 16GB of unified memory offers smooth multitasking without the need for an upgraded 24GB model. The fanless design ensures the MacBook Air M5 operates silently, with no fan noise or heat buildup. The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display remains top-notch, with a resolution of 2,560-by-1,664 pixels and 500 nits of brightness.
It supports P3 wide color, beneficial for photo and video editing. Despite not having the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, the 60Hz panel is still sharp, responsive, and vibrant. Battery life is rated up to 18 hours of video streaming or wireless web browsing, making it suitable for a full day of work without needing a charger. Connectivity is future-proof with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports provide ample options for peripherals and external displays.
