GES moves to reopen Obuasi SHTS as new headmaster is appointed

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is actively working towards reopening Obuasi Senior High Technical School (SHTS) on Monday, as they strive to resume academic activities at the institution. During an interview with Adom News, GES Director-General Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis disclosed that the Service is collaborating with the school's interim management to facilitate a smooth return to teaching and learning.

Addressing the matter, Prof. Davis stated that measures are being implemented to restore normal academic operations at the school. He further announced that a replacement has been appointed for the headmaster who was previously interdicted. The appointment is part of the GES's efforts to maintain effective management of the institution while the investigation into the situation continues.

The planned reopening of Obuasi SHTS aims to enable students and teachers to resume academic work, as the GES works diligently to resolve the issues surrounding the school. Although the GES has not provided further details about the ongoing investigation, the appointment of a new headmaster is expected to contribute to maintaining administrative continuity at Obuasi SHTS. The GES continues to work closely with the interim management to ensure a successful resumption of academic activities.
