FG proposes March for 2027 UTME, April–July for NECO, WAEC, others

The Federal Government has proposed a harmonised 2027 examination timetable, with the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination set for March 2027, followed by the National Examinations Council’s Senior School Certificate Examination in April–May, the West African Senior School Certificate Examination in May–June, the National Business and Technical Examinations Board in June, and the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies in June–July.

This initiative aims to minimize timetable clashes, improve coordination among examination bodies, ensure timely processing and release of results, and enable eligible candidates to commence tertiary admission processes by September 2027.
