EPL: Rooney accuses Man United stars of avoiding responsibility

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has criticized his teammates for being self-centered and failing to take accountability for their poor performances. Rooney expressed his shock and disbelief over the club's situation, which he stated was the most concerning he has witnessed in a long time. He warned that public disagreements among players could further divide the team, specifically mentioning Lisandro Martinez and Bruno Fernandes.

Rooney stated that while he acknowledged Fernandes' comments might be debatable, players must focus on their performances rather than deflecting blame to others. The former United forward accused some players of putting their personal interests ahead of the team, suggesting that they should show more responsibility on the pitch.

Rooney also expressed concern about Michael Carrick's position as manager, calling on the board to clarify the future of the coach who is facing intense speculation due to United's recent poor form. Rooney, who has managerial experience, advised Carrick to defend himself and demand greater accountability from the squad to avoid being undermined.
