Dayo Israel clarifies confusion over APC youth campaign leadership

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has experienced confusion over the leadership of its Youth Mobilisation Directorate for the upcoming 2027 presidential campaign. Dayo Israel, the APC National Youth Leader, alleged that he was appointed as the director of the Youth Mobilisation Directorate at a campaign council meeting on October 20 but later reversed.

However, the APC National Youth Director, Ayodele Olawande, maintains that his appointment remained unchanged. The situation has resulted in disagreement among party supporters on social media, with some claiming that the announcement of Israel's elevation as director was fabricated and that Olawande is still the director. However, Israel's statement on October 23, titled 'Setting the Record Straight on the APC PCC Youth Directorate,' refutes these claims, stating that the announcement of his elevation was made during the council's inaugural meeting on October 20, and that he began organizing the directorate's activities following the announcement. Israel also called for clearer communication of decisions to enhance institutional credibility.
