Pop icon Charli XCX has been added to the cast of Martin Scorsese's upcoming film “What Happens at Night,” according to recent reports. The singer, known for her prolific work in various film projects, will make a cameo appearance in the movie. Joining her are Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, who are already part of the film's ensemble cast.
The project, produced by Apple Studios in collaboration with StudioCanal, is based on Peter Cameron's 2020 novel. It revolves around a married American couple's journey to a snowy European town for the purpose of adopting a baby, and has been described as a Gothic psychological horror. Scorsese, who will direct and produce the film as part of Sikelia Productions, last directed in 2023's "Killers of the Flower Moon," which garnered 10 Academy Award nominations.
