Bengaluru police have arrested a migrant labourer from Bihar, named Ali, for allegedly creating and posting an AI-generated video depicting a bomb blast at Vidhana Soudha. The fabricated Instagram video, which surfaced on October 20, showed a person miming a trigger pull leading to the destruction of the legislature building. The video's caption claimed responsibility for the supposed blast.

However, Bengaluru Police confirmed no real blast occurred, stating the video is synthetic. The post was promptly taken down at the police's request. Such false content can pose security concerns, especially during Dasara festivities, prompting the police to register an FIR and warn against the misuse of AI to create threatening material. The arrested individual is being interrogated to determine his motive.
