Tinubu fit as a fiddle — APC secretary

National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has confirmed President Bola Tinubu's readiness for the 2027 presidential election campaigns. Basiru claimed that Tinubu is "fit as a fiddle," having spent numerous late-night hours with the president. The comment comes after opposition members questioned Tinubu's physical fitness for a second term in office.

Basiru also dismissed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's presidential ambition, likening him to Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga, who has failed to win the East African country's presidency multiple times. He argued that Atiku should "get a seat" in the House of Assembly before he can be taken seriously by Nigerians.
