La Liga: PSG defeat will not affect El Clásico – Raphinha

Barcelona captain Raphinha has stated that PSG's 4-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday will not affect Sunday's crucial El Clásico against Real Madrid. In a statement obtained from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X, Raphinha confidently replied, "No." The Brazilian highlighted that Barcelona had given a strong performance against the reigning European champions at their home stadium and had only dropped three points.

He emphasized that the team's focus was now on preparing for Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou. Raphinha also mentioned a potential future reunion with PSG in the Champions League, stating, "There are big chances of meeting PSG on our way again in UCL this season. Make PUNCH part of your everyday experience. They are back-to-back champions and we want to win the UCL, two top teams fighting for the title... there are good possibilities."

Manager Hansi Flick backed the team's readiness by confirming that midfielder Rodri had been rested against PSG, stating, "Yes, he played a lot of minutes with the national team, also. At the end, Rodri is fresh for Sunday." With the loss behind them, Barcelona is now fully focused on the Clásico, determined to leave the Paris setback behind.
