I Pioneered Hiplife – Reggie Rockstone Replies Slim Buster

Veteran hiplife artist Reggie Rockstone has refuted claims made by fellow music legend Slim Buster regarding a lack of communication and mutual contributions to the Ghanaian music scene. Responding to Slim's accusations, Reggie expressed disappointment at being dragged into public conflict and reminded Slim of their long-standing friendship and veteran status in the industry.

He emphasized that OGs do not engage in such public disputes, stating, "OGs do not beef." The disagreement arose after Slim claimed he had never met Reggie to discuss music and accused him of not aiding the development of Ghanaian music. Slim further criticized Reggie for not making significant contributions to the industry, while also asserting his own relevance despite being labeled a forgotten artist.

Reggie dismissed these accusations, attributing his pioneering role in hiplife to Slim's own subsequent works, such as "Masherita." He rejected the notion that he had declined to collaborate with Slim and clarified that any such decision would ultimately depend on personal and creative choice. Reggie also stated that he would refrain from further public discussions involving Slim and urged the veteran musician to refrain from making public attacks on others.
