Halo Special Edition Xbox Console Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Is Now Available

Every year, Hallmark introduces new Christmas ornaments, some of which are inspired by video games and geek culture. This year, an Amazon-exclusive release has become available - the Xbox Halo Special Edition Console Hallmark Keepsake Ornament. The ornament is a miniature replica of the translucent green Halo-themed special edition Xbox console that Microsoft released in 2004. It can be purchased for $27.99.

The ornament closely resembles the real console, featuring a chunky rectangular body made of translucent green plastic with the words "Halo Special Edition" displayed on the front. A tiny cord attaches it to a similarly green Xbox controller, which rests on the console itself. Additionally, this ornament is a "Magic Light and Sound" ornament, meaning it lights up and plays sound when activated.

Pressing the small Power button on the ornament causes the light to illuminate and the console to play its startup sound and music from the Halo 2 theme "Mjolnir Mix."

Included with the ornament are three Alkaline LR44 button batteries necessary for the ornament to function. Measuring 3.5 inches in length and width, it is a small ornament, comparable in size to a standard Christmas ornament. For those interested in an original Xbox Christmas ornament but not specifically the Halo Special Edition, a standard Xbox Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is also available (available at Amazon) and debuted in 2024 but remains in stock.

Other gaming-themed ornaments have also been released this year, including a Halo Warthog, as well as Pokémon and Zelda motifs. Fans of classic consoles can also consider a PS1 ornament to complement their PlayStation LEGO set.

On a related note, Microsoft is set to release a new translucent green version of the Xbox Series X on November 13, but only 25,000 units will be produced, and they have already sold out at all preorder locations.
