Fasoranti was a towering figure -Pro-Tinubu group

The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23) has expressed condolences following the death of Afenifere national leader Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti at the age of 100. In a statement signed by Chairman Senator Dayo Adeyeye, the group described the late elder statesman as a towering figure in Nigeria's history defined by sacrifice, integrity, and selfless service.

Punch Nigeria reports that Fasoranti was a teacher, educationist, and former Commissioner for Finance of the old Ondo State. He was described as a faithful disciple of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and a pro-democracy activist who advocated for truth, justice, good governance, true federalism, social justice, and national unity.

The group noted that Fasoranti served as a custodian of progressive ideals in the South-West and recalled his support during the lead-up to the 2023 general elections.
