Arsenal coach Arteta always a leader, says former teammate Gnabry
Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, who began his club career at Arsenal, recalled how Mikel Arteta influenced the dressing room as captain.
Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry expressed surprise at former teammate Mikel Arteta's success as Arsenal coach. Gnabry, who began his career at Arsenal, noted Arteta's leadership in the dressing room during their time together. The 31-year-old Germany international highlighted Arteta's approachability, shared advice, and his role as captain during their time together.
While admitting it was strange to face a team coached by a former teammate, Gnabry emphasized that Arteta's development and achievements were positive. Bayern Munich faces Arsenal in the Champions League without key players due to suspension and injury, with potential assistant coach Aaron Danks stepping in for the absent Vincent Kompany.
Danks maintained confidence in Bayern's victory, but acknowledged the team's shared responsibility, focusing on collective success rather than individual accolades.
