Witkoff to Meet Zelensky, European Leaders in Oslo Before Moscow Trip
Steve Witkoff is due to meet Zelensky and European leaders to develop peace proposals ahead of a planned Russia visit, as Kyiv seeks security guarantees and continued US military support.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet US envoy Steve Witkoff and European leaders in Oslo on Tuesday ahead of his trip to Moscow. The meeting aims to develop peace proposals that Witkoff hopes to present to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The talks come as Ukraine and the US clash over Ukraine's campaign against Russia's oil industry, delayed air defense supplies, and the terms of a potential peace deal.
Ukrainian officials and European leaders will discuss both the ongoing war in Ukraine and European security during the negotiations.
