The motorcycle allegedly used in a shooting attack on actor Tiger Shroff had a history of changing ownership four times since 2022, with no proper transfer of registration, according to Mumbai Police investigations. The suspect involved, Hrithik Roshan alias Kumar, allegedly acquired the yellow Bajaj Pulsar 220cc for Rs 25,000 on September 11, 2022.
Traced through CCTV footage and RTO records, the abandoned bike was found outside Andheri railway station (West) and eventually belonged to an IT professional named Khawaja Shaikh. Despite Shaikh’s uncle claiming the motorcycle was handed over to Roshan around a month and a half prior, the motorcycle and its documents never underwent an official transfer.
Three individuals implicated in an attempted murder case were arrested, as the weapon was allegedly used by them to fire at Shroff's BMW near a football ground in Juhu. Police have also established similarities with similar incidents involving actor Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, where second-hand motorcycles were employed during attacks.
The police are probing whether the buying, abandonment, and subsequent use of second-hand vehicles indicate a common modus operandi linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi network.
