Tiada arahan henti siasat Zetrix AI, Felda, kata Anwar

Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed that the investigation into Zetrix AI Bhd and Felda is being handled by a special authority and there are no directives to halt or delay the process. He acknowledged that some investigations take time, but delays do not mean the government is trying to protect anyone from legal action. The Road Transport Department (JPJ) reported a case against Zetrix AI Bhd and the Securities Commission has also opened an inquiry into the matter.

The Securities Commission has been investigating high-profile cases, including Zetrix AI Bhd, the Tabung Haji Institute (TH) and Felda. Fadhli Shaari, a member of parliament, questioned why some cases related to Felda and TH, which have been under investigation for years, are only now being investigated. Anwar explained that a white paper on Felda was submitted in 2019, but follow-up actions only began after his government took over its management in 2022.

The investigation into Felda takes several years due to several factors, including the involvement of the Attorney-General's Chambers for further research. Anwar acknowledged that the delays might be seen as inconvenient, but he believes it is better to have some action than no action at all. He emphasized that he has no desire to use his powers to delay or hinder any ongoing investigation.

Regarding the Tabung Haji, Anwar said it was submitted to the Cabinet at the early stage of government after assuming power. While the management of TH is requesting any action to be delayed while the institution conducts recovery efforts, he stated that investigations can still continue. Anwar also differentiated between the delays in investigations and accusations of selected cases, emphasizing that action should be based on proper processes and research, rather than pressure to expedite decisions without considering the facts.
