On Monday, The Voice Season 30's Battles took an unexpected turn, with Team Adam Levine nearly losing a contestant due to a minor slip-up. Owen Uffens and Wade Turner, representing Team Adam, faced off against one another, singing Ed Sheeran's "Drive". Uffens and Turner both impressed with their vocal abilities, with Uffens having a more relaxed style and Turner displaying a youthful energy reminiscent of Ben Platt.
However, Uffens momentarily forgot his lyrics during the song, momentarily taking the audience out of the performance. Fortunately, Uffens' powerful falsetto allowed him to recover and win the Battle, earning a spot in Cut Week. The audience chose Owen Uffens as the winner, giving him a grade of B+.
